Test Your Drinking Water
The National Ground Water Association (NGWA) recommends well owners to test their well water at least once a year for bacteria, nitrates or any other contaminants.
You should consider more frequent testing if you experience:
- The change in the taste, odor, or the color of the well water.
- Any problems such as a broken well cap, flooding, a new contamination source, etc.
- A history of bacterial contamination in your well.
- Recent septic system malfunctions.
- Recurrent incidents of gastrointestinal illness in residents.
The quality of a water source can change in days, weeks, or months. Changes can sometimes be difficult to notice, especially when the water doesn’t look or taste different.
Your private well water supply may not be as safe as you think it is. Reach out to MPI Water Solutions and we will get your water tested for you.
Solar Pump Services
Solar pumps are a common choice for situations where traditional methods of power are unavailable or when economics or environmental impact plays a strong role in your considerations. They can be used when wind energy just isn’t cutting it or when you want to supplement traditional methods of powering your pump such as grid electricity and petroleum.
The solar panel generates the electricity and the controller feeds the right amount of power to run the pump for proper operation. The controller also protects the pump system in case of a low power situation that could compromise the integrity of the pump over time.
If your pump is pulling water out of the ground to be stored for later use, you will need a water storage tank added to the system.
House Water Pumps
Low-pressure water can be really annoying. Have you ever tried to take a shower, only to find out that there is not enough pressure in the pipes for any water to come out? Domestic water pumps are there to fix this issue by increasing low water pressure and flow.
These pumps can provide the extra boost you need to bring your water pressure to the desired level. Here are some common factors that cause low pressure:
- Gravity (Gravity can either drive up the water flow or slow it down. If the water has to travel uphill or to the higher floors in the building, the gravity wants to send it back down.)
- The distance from the source of water (If your home is at the end of the water supply line, the flow of water will probably become weaker by the time it reaches you.)
- Low water pressure in the city (Low water flow can also be caused by the low-pressure pumps at your local water plant.)
- Problems with the plumbing (Blocked pipes or calcium deposits inside of the pipes are also one of many reasons why your home has low water pressure.)
Water Well Rehabilitation
A successful well rehabilitation will maximize the flow of water from the well. It’s an efficient way to get your well to start working like it’s been drilled yesterday, but it’s necessary to do this before the well starts to really become dry.
You need to frequently maintain your well in order to have good water flow and safe water for your home. Your wells also need to be inspected every year for any signs of damage or contaminated water.
Rehabilitating and repairing an older well is much cheaper and easier than drilling a whole new water well. MPI Water Solutions has years of experience rehabilitating the older wells, bringing them to good working condition.
Water Treatment
Water usually goes through a lot of different stages of treatment before it gets to you. Even though your local city has water treatment measures in place that are meant to ensure that you receive clean water in your storage tank and pipes, most of the time it’s not in the condition you desire it to be.
Water conditioning solutions are here to address the biggest problems that are currently present in most drinking water sources: hard water and contaminants. Hard water is the water that contains a lot of minerals. These minerals can cause some health problems and they are the reason why your clothes are scratchy after washing and why those stains appear on your water-based appliances.
They can also cause other, plumbing related problems by laying calcium deposits inside of your pipes and by slowly damaging your water-based appliances, reducing their life span.
MPI Water Solutions offers various water treatment solutions to help you deal with hard water and dangerous contaminants that could otherwise pose a risk to your health.
